Drug task force makes major meth bust

$56,000 worth of crystal methamphetamine was seized by the St. Clair County Drug Task Force in a bust last week. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department, authorities attempted to make a traffic stop Wednesday night in the area of Wadhams Road and I-94 which then lead them to a residence in the $5,000 block of Ravenswood Road in Kimball Township. The driver and passenger, a 27 year old Kimball Township man and 22 year old Port Huron woman, were arrested, and authorities obtained a search warrant for the home. Once inside, another man and woman was arrested and a large quantity of drugs were seized. Cash and firearms were also found inside the home, with a total of four people being arrested. The suspects are currently housed in the St. Clair County jail on a multitude of charges including fleeing and eluding, maintaining a drug house, and being a habitual offender.
