Early morning fire damages Military street home

Port Huron Fire Crews are on the scene of a blaze in the 2600 block of Military Street in Port Huron. Battalion Chief Dale Minard tells WPHM the fire broke out shortly before 3am this morning at a large multi-unit Victorian home. Minard says the building was in the process of being renovated and that one of the unit’s occupants was pulled from the building by firefighters and is currently recovering from unknown injures. As of 6am this morning fire crews were still at the scene of the blaze and the public is asked to avoid the area of Military and 10th streets. The extent of damage to the building is unknown at this time an the cause of the fire is under investigation.
