Michigan gas prices have decreased for the first time in two months this past week, that according to the latest Gas Price Brief by AAA of Michigan. The auto club reports the current statewide gas price is $2.82 a gallon, that’s 8 cents more than this time last month but 6 cents less than this time last year. AAA says although prices took a dip last week, gasoline is still expected to rise as demand increases for the summer driving season. Across the state, the least expensive gas can be found in the Flint and Tri-Cities area, and the highest gas prices are in Marquette. Locally, pumps in Lapeer and Macomb Counties are asking $2.78 a gallon, while gas is $2.84 in Sanilac County, and St. Clair County Pumps are at $2.75 a gallon.
