The United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development has approved a nearly $7 million grant to help the City of Croswell with a second phase of sewer repairs. The agency is also green-lighting an up to $3.25 million loan for the city that will help replace pipes and improve the Croswell wastewater treatment plant. In a statement, 10th district congressman Paul Mitchell says the funds will help Croswell, “Update and improve its sewer system, which is more than 50 years old and in need of repair.” Croswell’s sewer system serves 962 residential and 28 commercial customers.
