Several roads in St. Clair County will have reduced loading capacity due to saturated ground and increasing water levels. According to the St. Clair County Road Commission and Office of Emergency Management, lower loading limits will be enforced for several roadways in Clay Township. Those include Cottage Lane, Krispin Road, and Golf Course Road all on Harsens Island – which will now have a two-ton maximum axle weight limit. Additionally, Anchor Bay Drive from M-29 south will also have a lowered weight limit of four-tons per axle. The office of emergency management says water levels still pose a threat to property owners in the southern part of the county and that their emergency operations center has been partially activated to accept damage reports. Those damage reports can be made by emailing damage@stclaircounty.org or by calling 989-6392.
