A new aqua-blue trolley will soon be traversing the streets of Port Huron. Unveiled yesterday by Blue Water Area Transit, the American built, natural gas powered vehicle is the fifth to be purchased by the transit authority and the first in nearly 20 years. Dave McElroy of Blue Water Transit says the new vehicle will be used for guided historic tours throughout town, which cost 10-cents and last approximately an hour. McElroy also says no local money was used to purchase the $430,000 vehicle, with a 80% coming from a federal grant and the rest from the State of Michigan.
