Those who frequent Mayer Road in St. Clair Township will soon see some detours. The St. Clair County Road Commission will be closing Mayer to through traffic about 300-feet north of Gratiot Road to wrap up work started earlier this year over the Cooper Drain. The posted detour will include Rattle Run and Gratiot Roads. Crews will place multiple layers of asphalt over the new culvert, with through traffic not permitted on Mayer during the closure.
