A four year old child reported missing in Sanilac County Monday has been located. According to the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office, 4-year-old Elias Joseph Krajenke was located with his mother in Lapeer County. He was discovered during a traffic stop Tuesday performed by the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office. The child was safe and is in the process of being turned over to the Department of Health and Human Services. Sheriff Biniecki stated, “We are pleased with the efforts put into the investigation by our staff and appreciate the assistance from Lapeer County and area agencies, as well as, the public”.

The Sanilac County Sheriff’s office is looking for a missing four year old boy. Deputies from the Sheriff’s department assisted the Michigan Department of Human Services in relocating five children from a residence on Aitken Road in Elk Township Monday morning. One of the children, Elias Joseph Krajenke, was not in the home when authorities arrived. The mother of the missing child stated that she did not know where he was. Authorities have since searched multiple relatives households and were unable to locate Elias.
