The St. Clair County Community College Board of Trustees has filled the vacancy left by board member Amy Holmes. Marysville City Manager Randy Fernandez will fulfill the remainder of her term which is set to expire in 2022.  Fernandez received the highest amount of votes among the board members present in Monday’s special session meeting. Alphonso Amos, organizer of Black Lives Matter Port Huron, received the second highest amount of votes.  Holmes resigned from the board following the November 3rd general election which saw Dr. Nicholas DeGrazia re-elected and newcomer John Lusk earn a spot on the board. Michael Goforth received the third highest amount of votes during the election for the two available spots, however trustees Monday did not select him as a finalist for the position.
