It’s an update to threat that sent McLaren Port Huron Hospital into lock down earlier this week. According to the Port Huron Police Department, the hospital did receive a verbal assault threat over the telephone Monday morning shortly before 10am. The threat over the telephone regarded the hospital’s mask mandate policy. After reviewing the audio recordings of the incident, police determined that there was no credible bomb threat. No arrests were made and no charges were sought. In a statement, McLaren Port Huron CEO Eric Cecava says, “The safety and welfare” of his patients are “paramount” and thanks the Port Huron Police Department for their quick response.
