A Lapeer County woman has been charged after she failed to stop at the scene of a fatal car crash earlier this year. On July 20th, 28 year old Megan Robbins of Columbiaville is accused of striking a pedestrian who was walking his dogs along Hunters Creek Road near Five Lakes Road in Metamora Township. The two dogs were killed at the scene of the crash and the victim was taken to an area hospital where he later died. On Wednesday, Lapeer County deputies arrested Robbins at her employer in Burton and was taken to the Lapeer County Jail for arraignment. She is being held on 10-thousand dollars bond and is charged with a felony count of failure to stop at the scene resulting in death.
