County falls into low risk category for COVID-19

St. Clair County’s COVID-19 risk level has moved into the low category according to the latest data from the St. Clair County Health Department and the CDC. There were 90 new cases and 6 additional deaths from COVID-19 in the county for the week ending Friday, March 18th. The testing positivity rate is at 2.9% percent and the county’s vaccination rate is 56.5%. Statewide just over 1400 new cases of the virus and eight deaths reported in the past three days. The number of people hospitalized is 572, which is the lowest since last summer.
