Man arrested in drug bust, meth and guns seized

A man from St. Clair County’s Burtchville Township has been arrested following a drug bust late last week. The 46 year old man was taken into custody Thursday following an investigation into methamphetamine sales in the local area. Authorities were attempting to serve an arrest warrant when he was spotted leaving his house in the 3600 block of Myrtle Road in Burtchville Township on his motorcycle. He was arrested shortly thereafter in the area of Gratiot and Kraft Roads in Fort Gratiot Township. According to the Drug Task Force, the suspect was in possession of methamphetmine and a large amount of cash. A further search of of his residence produced additional sums of meth totaling over 450 grams and two long guns. The suspect is facing drug and felony firearms charges. He is currently lodged in the St. Clair County Jail.
