Fake grenade causes evacuation at area school

An area school was dismissed early Wednesday afternoon following the discovery of a suspicious device. Lieutenant Pat Eash of the Port Huron Police Department tells WPHM it happened around 3pm in the 1400 block of 7th Street. The only school that was impact was East Shore Leadership academy, with students exiting the building away from the area of the suspicious device. Lieutenat Eash described the device as a hobby or replica grenade that was inert and found lying on the ground outside of a building.
