Members of the Port Huron Area School District are opting for a one day on, one day off approach to in person learning. Classrooms will be reduced to approximately half capacity, with students divided into two groups. One group will meet Monday and Wednesday, with the other meeting Tuesday and Thursday. The two student groups will rotate alternating Fridays. “Students will still be learning,” Board President Tim McCullugh told WPHM. “Students will be working all week long on their school work… whether they are in class or are at home remotely working.” Plans were finalized during a special session board meeting held Thursday morning and were approved by a 4-to-3 vote. Classes in the Port Huron Area School District are set to resume August 31st.
