Students and parents in the Marysville district have the option to return to in person learning starting Monday. Marysville Superintendent Dr. Shawn Wightman tells WPHM the district will be following all state and local guidelines and says he looks forward to students returning to campus. “If we continue to take the precautions necessary… sanitizing, disinfecting, making students and staff wear masks, and to the best of our abilities practice social distancing, we should be okay.” Wightman says Marysville’s model utilizes the same teachers and software for both in person and virtual learning, meaning the district can easily “pivot back” to all virtual if events warrant. Those opting to remain in Marysville’s all-virtual option will need to opt-in online at https://www.marysville.k12.mi.us/covid-19/
