An ice jam on the St. Clair River is now causing flooding further upstream. As of Saturday, the St. Clair County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency management says the water is now flowing and water levels are on the decline in Algonac and Harsens Island. However, a new blockage on the river now threatens areas between Port Huron and Marine City. The water level on the St. Clair River in Port Huron  has increased between 9 and 11 inches over the past 24 hours. That has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a new flood warning for the St. Clair River. Additional ice beakers from the US and Canadian Coast Guard are working to clear the jam. The flood warning is in effect for coastal communities along the St. Clair River until 10am Tuesday.
