City council to discuss sharing parks and rec director with county

Port Huron City Council meets this evening where more discussions are expected regarding a shared services agreement with the county for parks and recreation director Nancy Winzer. Council members will be asked to approve a three year intergovernmental agreement with the county in which Winzer will serve as head for both the city and county parks department. Her salary would be split between the two governments with each paying approximately $88,000 each. Also tonight city council will approve bids from Tetra Tech of Michigan for engineering services at the wastewater treatment plant and renewing an agreement with Desmond Marine to operate the River Street Marina through 2024. Port Huron City Council meets remotely via zoom this evening at 7pm.
