A three vehicle crash on I-69 near Emmett has claimed the life of one. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s office, a pickup truck was traveling westbound in an eastbound lane near the M-19 overpass around 10pm Sunday. The truck struck a car killing a 30 year old Sterling Heights man and injuring his 21 year old passenger from Kenockee Township. A third vehicle was also involved, driven by a 29 year old woman from Columbus Township. She was treated and released at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck that was traveling in the wrong direction is believed to be a 36 year old Brown City man. He is currently recovering at an area hospital. I-69 in Emmett was shut down until 2am this morning for crash investigations.
