Gas prices cool off slightly in Michigan

Gas prices are starting the week off slightly lower compared to last. The price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Michigan has fallen 5 cents since last week. According to AAA of Michigan, the average price of regular unleaded in Michigan is $2.79 a gallon. That’s three cents less from this time last month but still $1.25 more than a year ago. The highest prices for fuel can be found in the central Upper Peninsula and the cheapest gasoline is in the Northern Lower. Port Huron area pumps are asking approximately $2.77  a gallon.
