A man from St. Clair County’s Kenockee Township died this past weekend following an all terrain vehicle crash. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, 58 year old Walter Cowhy was traveling west on Metcalf Road near Deuce Road in Greenwood Township shortly before 3pm Saturday. The ATV left the roadway and overturned, ejecting both the driver and his passenger, 52 year old Kimberly Cowhy, who was the wife of the driver. Walter Cowhy died of his injures and Kimberly Cowhy was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Deputies were assisted by crews from Tri-Hospital EMS and Brockway Township Fire and Rescue. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
