Over a half million dollars was raised during the St. Clair County Community Foundation’s “Big Give” event yesterday. The big winner was Mid City Nutrition, raising nearly $154,000 for their new building campaign. All in all 71 local organizations and nearly 1700 hundred donors participated in the event, raising funds for non profits ranging from the arts to sports and healthcare to history. Special prizes were also awarded to organizations based on how many people donated, when they donated, and even how far away they donated from.
