McLaren Port Huron Hospital entered lockdown for a few hours Monday morning following a bomb threat against the healthcare facility. Spokeswoman Jennifer Carbary told WPHM the threat was called into the hospital shortly after 10:00 am, prompting the building to go under lock down. The Port Huron Police Department’s K9 unit responded to the scene. According to Assistant Police Chief Marcy Kuehn, the bomb dog didn’t detect anything suspicious at the hospital. Police are in the process of trying to determine who phoned in the threat to the hospital and why. The lock down at the hospital was lifted around 1:30pm.
