Local school districts react to Oxford shooting

The aftermath of the tragic Oxford High School shooting has prompted action from areas school district administrators. Dozens of Metro Detroit area school districts have canceled classes this week as a precaution after receiving “copy cat” threats. Locally, the Port Huron Area School District stated that there is no current threat to the district’s schools, students or staff. In a post to social media, the district states that they are, “Monitoring activity, behavior and other indicators very closely.”
