The price of a gallon of gasoline in Michigan has become ever more expensive. AAA of Michigan says prices jumped 15 cents over the past week setting a new 2022 high price. The average cost for a gallon of gas is $3.37 per gallon, which is 20 cents more than this time last month and 87 cents more than this time last year. Locally, Port Huron area pumps are about a penny less than the statewide average, asking about $3.36 per gallon for regular unleaded.
