on ramps to local traffic following unprecedented backups earlier this week at the Blue Water Bridge.
According to St. Clair County Sheriff Mat King, traffic is flowing more freely on both I-69 and I-94, prompting the Sheriff’s office to remove barricades that had been placed on eastbound entrance ramps. The ramps were closed to prevent local traffic from being stuck in a miles of truck traffic waiting to cross the Blue Water Bridge as a result of a closure of the Ambassador Bridge.  As of noon Thursday, commercial trucks are waiting about an hour to cross the bridge into Canada.
