Pumps slightly lower after reaching new records last week

The price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Michigan is down from last week’s 2022 record highs. The statewide average is now $3.35 a gallon, about 2-cents less than last week, but still 19-cents a gallon more than this time last week and 88-cents more than this time last year. The most expensive fuel in the State is in the Upper Peninsula where it’s $3.50 a gallon. The Tri-Cities have the cheapest gas at $3.29. Local St. Clair County pumps are right around the statewide average of $3.35 a gallon.
