The County Clerk of St. Clair County is seeking a seat in the Michigan House of Representatives. Republican Jay DeBoyer of Clay Township has thrown his hat into the ring for the newly drawn 63rd State House district which includes downriver St. Clair County and a portion of northern Macomb County. Many of the communities are currently representative by Republican Pamela Hornberger, who resides in Chesterfield Township, and has previously announced a bid for the State Senate. Kelly Noland has also filed to run in the district as a Democrat. DeBoyer has been St. Clair County Clerk since 2011.
