Emmett Township drug bust results in man’s arrest

A man wanted for the sale of crystal meth throughout the local area has been arrested following a traffic stop earlier this week near Emmett. The 33 year old Marysville man was pulled over around 2am Wednesday by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office in the area of Bryce and Connors Road. According to the Drug Task Force, the suspect attempted to destroy a quantity of crystal methamphetimine at the time of the traffic stop but was unsuccessful and was taken into custody. The vehicle was found to contain about $1600 in street value of meth, as well as digital scales, drug paraphernalia, ammunition and firearms magazines. The suspect is expected to face charges including possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and destruction of evidence. He is lodged in the St. Clair County Jail
