Cats and dogs seized from suspected animal hoarder

Local animal control officials are investigating an alleged case of animal hording at a Port Huron home. St. Clair County Animal Control and the Port Huron Police department responded to a home in the 600 block of 15th Street Tuesday following a complaint of animal neglect.  13 cats and 8 small breed dogs were seized from the home with many of them sick or injured. Two of the animals required emergency veterinary care. The case remains under investigation and charges against the suspect have yet to be determined. The animals are currently housed at St. Clair County Animal Control who is currently seeking donations of cleaning and pet supplies to help with the influx of new animals.
