Marysville City Council tonight could decide how to move forward with two historic structures within Marysville Park. Vince Cataldo of Infuz Architects is expected to present pans for both the band shell and the museum building in Marysville. Council tonight is expected to vote on as proposed public-private partnership regarding the remodeling of the museum building. They could also decide whether or not to build a new amphitheater in the park in place of the current band shell. Marysville city council meets at 7pm tonight.

Meantime in Port Huron, city council is expected to approve expanding the city’s social district east to Fort Street between Quay and McMorran Boulevard, this to include the new Wrigley Center. A first reading of an ordinance which would include prop guns and other similar devices into the city’s firearms code is also on the agenda. That would make it illegal in Port Huron to show toy guns as well as real guns in a threatening manner. Port Huron City Council meets at 7pm at the Municipal Office Center.
