Downward trend at the pump slows

Michigan gas prices are still on the decline, but at a slower rate this week. At $3.34 on average around the state, gas has dropped roughly four cents per gallon since last week. That’s after an 11 cent drop the previous week, and a 25 cent drop the week before. According to AAA, a spike in demand and a decrease in fuel stocks are starting to offset the currently lower prices of crude oil. If that continues, diminishing pump prices could slow even more. Here in St. Clair County, we’re dealing with an average of $3.23 per gallon for regular unleaded. Still making us one of the least expensive counties in the state.
