Two arrested in motel meth bust

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office released information over the weekend regarding multiple arrests made during a drug bust last week in Port Huron Township. On Wednesday, an investigation led the St. Clair County Drug Task and the U.S. Boarder Patrol K-9 unit to perform a search of an area motel room and seize a dealer amount of crystal meth. Two people were arrested in connection with the incident, Jonathon Washington, a 44 year old from Port Huron, and Crystal Shafer, a 41 year old from Fort Gratiot. Both are repeat offenders who are now facing charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine and Maintaining a Drug House. The suspects are currently being held at the St. Clair County jail, Shafer on a $10,000 bond and Washington on a $15,000 bond.
