Don’t be alarmed if you hear tornado sirens ringing your neighborhood or on alerts on your radio this afternoon. The Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division will hold a statewide tornado drill and test of the Emergency Alert System at 1pm Wednesday, March 20th. State officials say it serves as an important reminder to take steps now to prepare and
create a plan to protect your family, your home, and your pets. The National Weather Service says the state averages 15 tornadoes each year.
