Teen dies following skateboarding crash


A 19 year old Port Huron man who was seriously injured in a skateboarding crash late last week has died of his injuries. The Port Huron Police Department say the victim holding onto a vehicle while skateboarding in the 2700 block of 24th Street Thursday shortly before midnight. He was taken to a local hospital and transferred to a Metro Detroit hospital for treatment of several facial and skull fractures. Police have not released the name of the victim but are expressing condolences to his family. They are also seeking additional information regarding the crash, which can be submitted to the anonymous CAPTURE tip line at 987-6688.
