We’re learning of a drug bust late last week in which two were arrested and over $50,000 in methamphetamine was confiscated by authorities in St. Clair and Macomb Counties. On May 30th, members of the St. Clair County Drug Task Force assisted the Macomb County Enforcement Team in executing multiple search warrants in both counties. A total over 1-point-6 points of meth as well as cocaine, fentanyl, and six firearms – three of which were reported stolen – were seized. Two suspects, each with prior violent felony convictions, are in custody pending arraignment. The Drug task force says the inter-county cooperation between Macomb and St. Clair officials is helping to stop the flow of narcotics north out of Detroit. Sheriff Mat King adds that he is “Proud of the dedication members of the Drug Task Force have” and their “commitment to keeping the community safe.”
