Starting April 6th, Port Huron radio listeners will have a new way to tune in to a familiar voice.
The Paul Miller Morning Show is moving from 1380 AM to 105.5 FM, while also remaining on the AM dial, now at 1450 AM. It marks the first time the longstanding local program will air on the FM radio waves in the Port Huron market.
The move brings the WPHM call letters to 105.5 FM and 1450 AM, and following the morning show each weekday, the station will feature its new Country, Rock and Folk format for the rest of the broadcast day.
Listeners won’t lose the programming they’re used to either. Local news coverage will continue, along with Detroit Tigers broadcasts, Lions football in the fall, and Sunday morning church services preceded each week by Mike Avery’s Outdoor Magazine.
The transition is part of a broader update from RadioFirst, which will discontinue the Alternative Rock format currently airing on 105.5 FM and 1450 AM, and operations on 1380 AM, 1590 AM, and 92.7 FM as it focuses on strengthening its most popular programming. Company officials say no jobs will be eliminated as part of the change.
Beginning April 6th, listeners can find WPHM and the Paul Miller Morning Show from 6 to 10 a.m. on 105.5 FM and 1450 AM.
