As part of the ongoing rebuilding of I-69 in St. Clair and Lapeer County, the on and off ramps at M-53 near Imlay City will be closed starting today for replacement. The Michigan Department of Transportation says traffic eastbound on I-69 wishing to exit on M-53 will be detoured at Lake Pleasant Road. Westbound traffic wishing to exit at Imlay City will be detoured at Capac Road. The ramps to M-53 are expected to reopen July 1st. The overall project is expected to be completed by November.
