Officials in Sarnia have given the all clear after an an isolated hydrocarbon release at Imperial Oil’s Sarnia refinery this morning. According to Sarnia Emergency Management, the release was reported around 6:40am this morning after hydrocarbons were released in the air. A section of Vidal Street in Sarnia near the refinery was closed for several hours due to the release. No shelter warnings were issued and authorities say there was no threat to offsite residents. There were no injuries reported.
