A 45 year old Fort Gratiot Township man has died after crashing into a building Wednesday evening. Christopher Fredendall died from injuries sustained in what St. Clair County Sheriff’s Deputies believe was a road rage incident. The accident occurred just after 9pm Wednesday at the Mama Vicki’s Coney Island in the 4400 block of 24th Avenue. The driver was traveling southbound on 24th Avenue when authorities say he struck another vehicle operated by a 26 year old Marysville woman, lost control, and crashed into the building. There were customers in restaurant however Fredendall was the only person injured. When Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at the scene, the vehicle had caught fire. The victim was pulled from the vehicle and was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. The crash remains under investigation and Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by Fort Gratiot fire crews and the Michigan State Police.
