Electrocution claims the life of a contractor

Port Huron Police are releasing the identity of the man who was killed in an electrocution incident Tuesday morning. Authorities say 19 year old Dion Thomas Stephenson of St. Clair was killed while performing electrical work at a manufacturing plant in the 2600 block of 20th Street in Port Huron’s Industrial Park. The incident occurred just after 11am Tuesday. Police say there were called to the scene by employees at the plant and that first res ponders were unable to revive Stephenson.

A 19 year old St. Clair man has died after an electrocution yesterday at a Port Huron manufacturer. The Port Huron Police Department tells WPHM the incident occurred shortly after 11am at Britt Manufacturing in the 2600 block of 20th Street in the City of Port Huron. The victim was employed by a contractor that was working at the facility. The name of the victim has not been released.
