Township treasurer named next Fort Gratiot clerk

Fort Gratiot Township trustees have appointed a new township clerk in an ongoing reshuffling of township leadership sparked by the resignation former township supervisor Jorja Baldwin. Baldwin was appointed to fill a vacant seat on the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners last month. Fort Gratiot Township treasurer Bob Buechler was named township clerk by the board of trustees Wednesday evening to fill the position left vacant by Robert Crawford. Crawford was selected by trustees as the new township supervisor earlier this month. Fort Gratiot Township will now need to fill the township treasurer’s position, interested applicants can email their letters of interest and resumes to or deliver them in person to the township supervisor’s office.
