It’s another change to the makeup of Fort Gratiot Township leadership following an ongoing shuffle of positions. Jamie Oprita was selected this week by the Fort Gratiot Township Board of Trustees to fill the vacant township treasurer position. Oprita was one of five individuals who applied for the job. She will fill the vacancy left by Bob Buechler, who was picked to fill the clerk’s position previously held by Robert Crawford. Crawford has since been appointed to the township supervisor’s position to take the place of Jorja Baldwin, who subsequently was appointed to the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners.
