After a few weeks off, City Council in Port Huron will get back to work next week. At Monday’s regular session meeting of Port Huron City Council, councilmembers will be asked to approve several thousand dollars worth of heating and air conditioning improvements at the Municipal Office Center as well as several hundred thousand dollars worth of utility work at the Waste Water Plant. Several new vehicles could also be purchased pending council approval Monday. Those include two new Ford Explorers for the police department, for a total of $68,000. A $32,000 pickup truck for servicing the city’s motor vehicle fleet is also on the agenda.  Monday will see the second reading and anticipated enactment of an ordinance that would effectively ban recreational marijuana businesses in the city through June of next year. Port Huron City Council meets at 7pm Monday at the city’s Municipal Office Center.
