Roof repairs are believed to have caused a fire at a north end Port  Huron party store Tuesday morning. According to the Port Huron Fire Department, firefighters were called to the Lighthouse Party Store around 9:20am Tuesday. Smoke and fire were reported on the roof of the building and the blaze was contained to one end of the structure. The store did suffer smoke and water damage, but no injuries were reported.  The Port Huron Fire Department says  roofers who were using a propane torch yesterday morning are believed to have started the fire accidentally. The store has been secured and valuables such as lottery tickets have been removed from the building.
