Leaf pickup begins next week in Port Huron

Leaf removal in the City of Port Huron begins next week. Residents are encouraged to rake leaves onto the boulevard in front of their home, no more than 6 feet from the curb, for collection. A map of collection zones can be found on the city’s website, www. porthuron.org. The city encourages residents not to park in front of leaf piles as blocked piles will not be picked up. Leaves should be raked to the boulevard by 7am on your pickup date. Those south of the Black River will have leaf removal the weeks of October 21st, November 4th, and November 18th. Residents north of the Black River will have their leafs picked up the week of October 28th, November 11th, and November 25th. Leaves and other yard debris can also be placed in a brown paper bag or trash can marked with an “X” on you regular trash day.
