High speed chase along I-94 ends in Port Huron

A suspect is in custody following a high speed police chase that ended in Port Huron. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department, authorities in Macomb County entered into a pursuit Tuesday evening with a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on I-94.  The suspect, a 21 year old from Reading, Pennsylvania, traveled into St. Clair County with sheriff’s deputies assisting in the chase. The vehicle exited on Gratiot Road and headed eastbound through Marysville. The suspect crashed into a curb along Military near the Seaway Terminal after attempting to make a U-turn. The man fled on foot and was arrested by an officer with the Marysville Police Department who was assisting in the pursuit. The suspect is currently housed in the St. Clair County Jail and is facing fleeing and eluding charges in addition to any other pending charges from Macomb County.
