The girl’s high school district basketball playoff began on Monday night with Port Huron Northern edging Port Huron High 34-31. The Huskies barely held a lead in the game until the end, beating the Big Reds for the 4th time this season. Sarah Wight scored 17 for Northern, who faces Macomb Dakota on Wednesday. Julia Gilbert scored 13 for the Big Reds, who finished the season (12-9).
